Pine Crest Inn Golf Association
The Pine Crest Inn Golf Association held its third tournament at Foxfire West on Monday, August 9. The weather was hot and steamy but that didn't stop 40+ people from playing and having fun. Many thanks to Foxfire and their staff for their hospitality and assistance in making the tournament a success. And thanks to the volunteers that helped check us all in and took care of all of us on the course by providing us with cold drinks and wet towels to keep us cool! The format was a Net Stableford based on individual play. The results were:

The second golf tournament of the Pine Crest Inn Golf Association was held at Whispering Pines on their West Course on Tuesday, July 6. There was a great turnout on a beautiful day! The format was a modified alternate shot of partners. The results were:
Cheers to Brian "Wally" Lally for putting on a great first event for the Pine Crest Inn Golf Association! The two-man best ball tournament at Southern Pines (Elks Club) on Monday, June 7 was a huge success. The weather cooperated and a good time was had by all. The results are as follows:

We are pleased to announce the formation of the Pine Crest Inn Golf Association. The purpose of this Association is to provide a friendly and competitive golf forum for our good friends who patronize the Pine Crest Inn. The Pine Crest Inn Golf Association will begin its schedule in June 2010.
To begin our inaugural season, we will stage one tournament event in each month of the year, June through December. The schedule will conclude with our season ending awards banquet in December. In subsequent years, the schedule will be expanded and will likely include at least two events per month played upon some of the area’s best golf courses.
