In Pinehurst, North Carolina |
From
the moment you approach the Pine Crest's entrance,
you'll know you've found one of the most unique
inns in all of the world in one of the world's
most unique villages.
The reason most folks first come to the Village
of Pinehurst is to enjoy some of the finest
golf courses in the world. Courses
steeped in years and years of world-class
golfing history as well as challenging courses
so new the paint has hardly dried on their
club houses.
But, there are so many more reasons to come
to Pinehurst, North Carolina. Within
strolling distance of The Pine Crest Inn are
inviting antique shops, delightful specialty
stores, sumptuous dining and so much more
- reminding one of a more genteel time years
ago.

Owned
for the last 40 years by Bob Barrett, managed
ably today by Bob's son, Peter, and staffed
by people who care about guest's comfort
and pleasure, The Pine Crest Inn was previously
owned for 27 years (until his death in 1948)
by legendary international golf course architect,
Donald Ross.
Guests of the Pine Crest have long gazed
through the inn's windows upon surroundings
nestled comfortably in tall pine trees while
dining in a restaurant some say is simply
"the best".
With meals prepared as deliciously as any
your mother ever made, The Pine Crest Inn's
dining room is visited regularly by the
village's residents - always an indication
of just how good the food is.
If you've never slept in a room at the Pine
Crest Inn, you're in for a treat. If you've
been a Pine Crest Inn guest before, you
know what we mean. |
There's
the Telephone Cottage, so named because this
building was once a telephone switching station
at the inn. This large room helps make your
stay at the Pine Crest Inn so enjoyable. It's
very roomy and comfortable - a separate cottage
nestled in the trees next to the Inn with
its own driveway. You'll enjoy the extra single
bed in its own little room next to the master
bedroom - ideal for children. The Telephone
Cottage offers privacy but all the amenities
of the hotel which is only a few steps away.
|
There
are five Corner Rooms in the Pine Crest. Each
one is decidedly different but equally spacious
and well appointed. Guests enjoy the extra
windows which help fill the room with light
during the day.
Guests often remark how wonderfully they've
slept. You'll never find anything less than
the finest hotel mattresses at the Pine Crest
Inn. |
Pine
Crest's Standard Rooms would be called deluxe
at many other hotels. They are spacious and
relaxing.
Featuring lovely furniture and all the modern
comforts, any room at the Pine Crest is perfect
for your stay in the Village of Pinehurst.
Of course, phones and cable television are
available in every room. |
After a long day of golfing or enjoying the
many other activities in the Sand Hills area,
you'll appreciate the Pine Crest Inn's restful,
reinvigorating environment. |
