Little River Farm Golf Club

Little River has been managed by Troon Golf since 2008.  It features Crenshaw Bent grass greens and Bermuda tees and fairways.  Little River is widely know for its fine greens all year round.  The Dan Maples designed course incorporates unique terrain and natural features, including nearly 200 feet of elevation changes.

Mid Pines Golf Club

Many people have characterized Mid Pines as “pure Donald Ross” because of how it fits the land where it was built. It has few forced carries or artificial or contrived holes. Says Lee Pace, writing about the course in Pinehurst magazine: “Mid Pines was never conceived as a daunting task to the finest players competing under championship conditions … Mid Pines was intended simply as a fun course with adequate challenge for members and guests of a private club and resort.”

Pine Needles

In 2001 when the USGA contested its U.S. Women's Open at Pine Needles, Kendra Graham, director of women's competitions for the USGA, summed it up best. Pine Needles, she says, “is a classic; it's such a memorable golf course. You need every club in your bag and you remember every hole after you play it one time. The holes feel like they've been there forever.”

The Magnolia, a "traditional masterpiece", was designed by Gene Hamm, and has played host to the PGA Tour Qualifying School, the LPGA's 's Pinewild Championship in l995, as well US Open Qualifying.

Southern Pines Elks Club

Legendary golf course architect Donald Ross carved 18 of perhaps the most rewarding golf holes in the Sandhills region.  A true shotmaker's golf course, Ross gives players options.  At 6300 yards, Southern Pines does not measure up to today's length of courses, but it makes up for it through a variety of shots from the tee and even more challenges into the greens.

Talamore Golf Club

According to Rees Jones:  "This is a position course. Length isn't going to benefit the long hitter. What I'm trying to do is require thinking. I don't want to take the drive out of the golfer's hands, but what I want him to have to think about whether he wants to use it.  You have to manufacture golf shots and make them happen. Strategy is an important key to a successful round of golf here.
