With over 40 golf courses in the Sandhills area, you are sure to find several that strike your interest whether you are looking for challenge, beauty, history, or just a relaxing day on the links. For the die-hard golfers, there are several facilities that boast 2 or more courses which are perfect choices for the days you want to play 36! For those wanting to experience history and tradition, the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area boasts 6 Donald Ross designed courses built between 1899-1927. For a taste of more modern golf architecture by some of golf's greats, the Sandhills has courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player!

The rates listed on our rates page include greens fees, cart fees, all taxes and surcharges and are available when booking at the Pine Crest Inn. Once you have reviewed the pricing and course descriptions, be sure to include any courses you may be interested in on your inquiry form and we will be happy to book your tee times once you have booked your accommodations!

Whispering Woods

Architect: Ellis Maples (1971)

This course was renovated in 1994. Additional trees and sand bunkers have now been added to the course design, making it an even more demanding challenge.

Carolina Trace

Our Lake and Creek courses designed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. will challenge and reward you. Jones, Sr.'s creativity of design is apparent in the Lake Course and remains visible on every hole.

The Lake Course winds around the 315-acre Lake Trace with such captivating views that maintaining focus on ones golf game can be difficult. The Creek Course features dramatic elevation changes, rolling terrain, and a meandering creek interspersed among the 18 holes.

Deercroft

Architect: Gardner Gildey (1983)

Carved from magnificent pine forests, Deercroft offers one of the most scenic and challenging tests in the North Carolina Sandhills. Deercroft is located just minutes south of Pinehurst on US Highway 15-501.

 

 

 

 

Woodlake Country Club

Woodlake - Maples Course - 7012,73.4/134 / 5100, 69.3/129

Woven carefully into the fabric of the Woodlake community is a golf course reputed to be one of the most challenging in the Southeast - the Woodlake-Maples course.
