FROM WASHINGTON DC TO PINE CREST INN
 
Take 295 South around Washington & Richmond and
then 95 South to Rocky Mount,  North Carolina.
Take 64 West to Raleigh.  In Raleigh, take 440
Outer Beltline south to US #1 South towards
Sanford/Asheboro.
 
Stay on US #1 South through Sanford. South of
Sanford, take Highway #15-501 South to Pinehurst.
This exit is not well-marked, so be on the lookout
for the Regal Inn.  The exit is just beyond this
small motel.
 
As you enter Pinehurst on 15-501, you will be
dumped onto a traffic circle.  Take the SECOND
exit, marked “Highway 2 West, Pinehurst”.  This is
a double-laned road with a grass median, which will
narrow to a two-way street after about a half mile.
 
A block after the street narrows, take a right onto
Fields Road and then an immediate left onto
Cherokee.  Go two blocks until you see the Holly
Inn on your right.  At the far end of the Holly Inn
is Dogwood Road.
 
Turn right onto Dogwood.  You will find the Pine
Crest Inn in the middle of the block on the right.
