TO PINE CREST INN FROM ROCKY MOUNT
          
From Rocky Mount, take Highway #64 West to Raleigh.
In Raleigh,  take the South Beltline to the US #1
South exit.
 
Take US #1 South to Sanford.  Just south of
Sanford, take #15-501 South (the cutoff for this
highway is not marked well in advance, so be on the
lookout for the Regal Inn and be ready for your
turnoff).  At this point you are 23 miles from
Pinehurst.

As you enter Pinehurst, #15-501 will bring you onto
a traffic circle.  Take the SECOND exit off the
circle onto Highway #2 West, also known as Midland
Road.  The sign here will read "Pinehurst - Highway
2 West."  Midland Road is a double laned road with
a grass median.  The road will narrow in about a
half mile.  One block after it narrows, you'll see
a sign on the right directing you to "Pinehurst
Village Business District".  Follow this sign,
turning here onto Fields Road to the right, and
then immediately left onto Cherokee Road. After two
blocks, you'll come to the Holly Inn on your right,
an old restored Inn.  At the far edge of the Holly
Inn property, you will turn right onto Dogwood Road
and find the Pine Crest a half block down, facing
Dogwood on the right.
