TO PINEHURST FROM ATLANTA AREA

 VIA #1-20
         Take I-20 North to Columbia, South Carolina.  Approximately 25
 miles north of Columbia, exit at Camden and take US #1 North through 
Cassatt, Bethune, McBee, Middendorf and Cheraw.  North of Cheraw, take 
#177 through Hamlet.  At Rockingham Speedway, merge with US #1 North to 
Aberdeen.
          As you enter Aberdeen, be prepared to turn left onto Highway #5
 at the stop light.  You are approximately 6 miles from Pinehurst.  
          On entering Pinehurst, you will go through five stop lights.
After you have gone through the fifth light, take the second right 
turn onto Ritter Road.  At this point, you are in front of the Pinehurst
 Resort Hotel.  Go to the third stop sign and look straight ahead.  
You will see the Pine Crest Inn facing Dogwood Road.

VIA #I-85
          Take #85 North to Charlotte.  Take exit #36 and go through
 Charlotte on Independence Boulevard to Highway #74.  Take #74 to
 Wadesboro and on to Rockingham.  Pick up US #1 North to Aberdeen, 
and use directions above.
